Ian Greaves is a prolific songwriter who has been writing for many years for
numerous artists in the annual Crop Over Festival. He has worked in a number of
music genres over the years from Pop, Soca/Calypso, R&B/Soul, Adult
Contemporary and House/EDM. Ian is the co-founder at B&G Intellect Music
along with his business partner Brian Bowry. It was created with the intention of
pushing the confines of Caribbean music to new horizons.
He is one half of the songwriting team Thomas & Greaves Project with Miracle
Thomas, who is an American multi-genre singer, songwriter, and producer. He continues
to create with ace in-house producer Bentley “Bizzibee” Moore on many club
songs.
Ian has written and recorded songs with Grammy Award winner Jimmy “Senya”
Haynes. He has also written and recorded for the likes of Dwane Husbands who
recorded a duet with multi-Grammy winner Rihanna.
Ian’s mentor and friend, the late Richard “Dimples” Fields has given him much
advice and writing tips which have been very useful in his career. Ian lives by the
motto that was given to him by singer/songwriter/producer Eddy Grant, “If you
want to climb mountains, you have to hang with mountain climbers.”
